Updates on firmware changes for the SDI/NDI G2 line.

05/20/2025​

12X SDI/NDI G2 - v6.3.7220X SDI/NDI G2 - v6.3.29

New Features and Bug Fixes​

  • Resolved an issue where the Snapshot.jpg command returned only the first requested JPEG, blocking any further snapshot requests. The camera can now successfully provide multiple snapshots in succession.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from assigning a static IP address with the IR remote while the camera was in DHCP mode. IR shortcut commands now reliably switch the camera from DHCP to the specified static IP.
  • Improved Network Security: Introduced network-level restrictions for Guest API traffic; requests are now accepted only from administrator-defined IP ranges, blocking all other sources.

Known Issues​

  • Network settings: Leaving any input field blank disables the Submit button; to resolve this, ensure all input fields are populated before submission.
  • When RTMP streaming to YouTube using camera video templates, bitrate errors may occur. Resolution: Adjusting the camera's video settings to align with YouTube's video requirements will improve streaming stability and functionality.

New Features and Bug Fixes​

  • Improved Network Security: Introduced network-level restrictions for Guest API traffic; requests are now accepted only from administrator-defined IP ranges, blocking all other sources.

Known Issues​

  • When RTMP streaming to YouTube using camera video templates, bitrate errors may occur. Resolution: Adjusting the camera's video settings to align with YouTube's video requirements will improve streaming stability and functionality.
  • Static IP addresses cannot be assigned when using the IR Remote.
  • The password field now includes an eye icon that reveals the encoded password. Previously, only a series of dots were displayed. The actual set password remains unchanged.

  • Once this firmware is applied, presets will be stored in on-board memory, allowing the presets to remain after future firmware updates.
  • Added IR address buttons to the camera's Web Interface under System.
  • Changed the IR remote shortcut [*] > [#] > [4] to display the camera IP until manually closed with the Home button.
  • Replaced Auto Scan Shoot with Auto Inspect in the OSD.
  • Added the ability to start and stop RTMP streams without requiring a power cycle.
  • Added a privacy function that points the camera to the rear when set to Standby.
